I’m Cassidy Alexander, and I’m a data storyteller. What does that mean? Well, when most people talk about data, they leave out the bits that are useful to people other than scientists and engineers.
Data is everywhere, and it’s not just entries on an Excel spreadsheet. Just by reading this page on my website, you’re collecting data for yourself about me!
The thing is, data doesn’t always have to be too complex to understand. Data is for everyday people, with everyday problems. I firmly believe that if you can’t knock on your neighbor’s door and explain your data’s insights to them, it isn’t doing much to improve your business.
That’s where I come in.
I come from a background in both mathematics and journalism. By combining my skills from both fields, I learned how to explain complicated data insights to people who prefer to only use math when calculating how much to tip the waiter.
